Overview

ESB is developing a new renewable energy project, Ballydonohoe Solar Farm, located east of Lisselton, County Kerry. It is being developed by Tullamore Solar Farm Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of ESB. It is an extension of the nearby Drombeg Solar Farm project that is currently under construction. Construction on this phase of the project will commence in the summer of 2025. The project has received full planning permission to generate 44 MW of clean electricity which is enough capacity to power around approximately 10,000 homes.

As part of this project, we are committed to engaging closely with the local communities surrounding the site to ensure the successful delivery of Ballydonohoe Solar Farm by 2026.

Ballydonohoe Solar Farm is located in the townlands of Ballydonohoe and Glouria, approximately 1.6km east of Lisselton, County Kerry.
